If you are under the age of 18, the state of California requires driver education before you can take the written test to get your learner's permit. As a DMV licensed driving school we provide a driver education program that meets DMV's requirements. Driving in California can be challenging. At Golden State Driving School Inc., we want to make sure that your are ready for this challenge. Our professional driving instructors are licensed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Our driving lessons have all the components you will need to pass the DMV driving test and to drive safely on a daily basis.
Teen's Licensing Requirements

2- Pass the written law test at your local DMV, so you can obtain your provisional instruction permit (Tip: ideally, you should take it when you turn 15 years old) (Note: If you fail the written test, you must wait 7 days (1 week), not including the day the test was failed before retaking the test).

Nevertheless, if you have never driven or you are adapting to drive in California because you learned to drive in a foreign country, we are here to help. After a brief inquiry, to evaluate your particular situation, the assigned instructor will set a lesson plan based on your individual needs. All our instructors are licensed by the DMV, and they are professional, knowledgeable and patient.
