Founded in 1973 by U.S. Army Veteran Thomas Gast, Truck Driver Institute (TDI) is an adult vocational school that trains individuals and couples to get their Commercial Driver License (CDL). Our school has grown to 11 campuses located in seven states, and is the largest Class A CDL School East of the Rockies not owned by a trucking company.

Class B CDL Training

Class B CDL training allows you to transport freight that weighs less than 10,000 pounds GVWR with a single axle trailer and this training is offered at every Truck Driver Institute facility. After the Class A CDL (commercial driver's license), the Class B is the second most popular CDL to obtain at TDI.
