Providing excellent driver education since 2007. Our school uses proven strategies to cultivate reliable, confident, and safe driving habits that will last a lifetime. I grew up in Syracuse, New York where my mom and dad were both teachers: English and driver's education, respectively. My three brothers and I enjoyed participating in basketball, rowing, and soccer throughout school.

Growing up, I combined my passion for sports with my innate propensity for teaching as I was a YMCA summer counselor, taught swim lessons, and coached rowing and basketball teams.

We are a small, family owned business that started in 2007. The school is approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and all of our instructors are certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia. We offer flexible driving hours to meet your scheduling needs. For this reason, we have limited office hours.

Teens in Virginia under the age of eighteen must take seven Behind the Wheel sessions. Each session (100 minutes) is 50 minutes of driving and 50 minutes of observation. During the seventh session, students will be given their driving test and license (upon passing test). Teens in Virginia under the age of eighteen are required to take a thirty hour driver's education class before they complete Behind the Wheel.

Teens in Virginia under the age of eighteen must take 14 Behind the Wheel sessions. The program includes 7 periods of driving and 7 periods of observation, including the final road skills examination. If you are 18 or older, see Adult Lessons. Green Light Driving School understands that driving safely is a lifelong skill that is essential for today's fast paced environment.

Green Light Driving School LLC, provides driver education programs approved by Department of Education to all county schools, private schools, home school, and out-of-school youths. Green Light Driving School LLC includes all required course content and is licensed and approved by DMV. This course provides research-based information to help you understand the knowledge and skills necessary to become a safe and confident driver.
