Bayou South Driving Academy will follow all state mandates in achieving goals. We wish to make it clear that we do not expect, in the limited available time, to develop our students into thoroughly skilled drivers. Furthermore, we believe the purpose of driver's education is not to get a driver's license for the student, but rather to teach them the fundamentals of vehicle operation and to lay the foundation for a sound understanding of traffic situations. Our program uses carefully guided experiences and approaches that will teach students the skills needed to cope with any situation they may encounter. Students will be evaluated with written tests and driving skills evaluations. Bayou South Driving Academy encourages each parent to take an active role in ensuring that your child has completely mastered the skills of driving.

The classes are taught at Southland Christian Academy located at 7000 Gloryland Way, Denham Springs, La. Class times start at 8:00 A.M. Each student will be given breaks and will be allowed to bring their own lunch. NO student will be let leave the class without their parent or guardian. All students will be obliged to wear their school uniforms or appropriate attire to this driver's education class. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
