El Paso Driving Academy

Since 2001, El Paso Driving Academy has helped teens learn to drive safely and responsibly. Our operations have grown to four locations and we now offer courses for adults as well as teens. Each location - Northeast, Lower Valley, East and West - has its own manager, courses and hours of operation to provide flexibility and options to El Pasoans and their families. We take pride in providing reliable and comprehensive driver's education, road tests and defensive driving courses.

Teenage students can attend our courses in-person or online. The courses consist of 16 days of classroom sessions that last for two hours per session. Once the classroom sessions have been completed, students can take their certificate to the Texas Department of Public Safety to obtain their learner license. Please note, other documentation will be required by TxDPS. The driving portion of the teen driver's education will be scheduled separately.

Our adult driver's education course consists of a single six-hour course and can be completed in one day. Please note, the adult course is not the same as defensive driving. The Lower Valley location offers the course in Spanish as well as English. Please check the available courses to learn more.

Our defensive driving course is fully online and can be completed from anywhere. The self-paced course can be completed at your convenience; the system will track your progress and save your work. The course is TDLR-approved (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) and is accepted by Texas courts for ticket dismissal. The fee for the course is $25, the lowest fee allowed by law.
