Our story started in 2001 when we opened in Shepherdsville, KY by a couple who was rooted in trucking. However, we're not just a 'mom and pop CDL Shop.' Using their expertise and connections they had forged in the industry; they formed Truck America Training and perfected our course offerings and training techniques to become a leading CDL A school in the Louisville area.

Truck America's comprehensive 160 hour Class A CDL Training Program is conducted at our facility just south of Louisville, KY. This program provides future drivers with the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) skills to begin a career as a professional truck driver. Our outstanding instructors can provide the hands-on training and the CDL knowledge needed to properly and safely operate a truck.

Our 160-hour (3-1/2 weeks) CDL A program is designed for students to learn and exercise the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) skills of operating as an over-the-road, regional, dedicated or local driver. The first week is in a classroom. You will be studying for your CDL A permit and learn the basics of safe driving.
