Family owned and operated, we serve Oklahoma driving students across the state with four locations. Brown's specializes in bringing students to proficiency across the spectrum of driving needs. Highlighted by our flagship Driver Education program, we also offer many other services including administering the State Driving Test and the 8th Grade Reading Proficiency Test.

Our state-certified Driver's Education program has been in operation since 1996, and offers flexible drive times with professional instructors (we have over 25 cars available for scheduling, weekend and evening availability, and over 30 instructors).

My name is Duane Brown and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about Brown's Driving School. My wife and I started this family business in 1996. After being involved in an auto accident and losing my best friend in high school, I felt the need to create a driving program that focused on education and saving lives.

Driver Education

The driver education program is Brown's oldest program originating in 1996. This program has been very successful because of the professionalism of great instructors, scheduling availability of drive times and a classroom program that is serious, yet fun. Our state-certified Driver Education program begins with 10 hours of classroom instruction at one of our 4 convenient locations.

Driver’s Test

Report

Tests are given in a Brown's state certified car Monday through Friday, by appointment only. When students take the driving test they may go to a Tag Agency the same day to get the new driver license. Students wishing to take the Driving Test at Brown's must have completed a Driver Education program at Brown's, a state certified driving school, a public or private school, or a state approved parent taught online driver education course.

Students who are 15 1/2 can obtain a permit once they have completed the 2 days of classroom time. Students do not have to do any drives to get a Learner's Permit. View and print the instructions here. Yes, just like piano lessons, you must take lessons and practice on your own. If you do not practice, you will not learn the skills necessary to master the tasks.
