Prelicensing class is required by New York State before someone with a learner's permit can sign-up for a NYS road test. This is our NYSDMV approved Improve Traffic School 6 hr. Accident Prevention Workshop, Point/Insurance Reduction Defensive Driving Class that will allow you to apply for a 10% discount on your vehicle insurance for the next 3 years.This course will also reduce up to 4 points from your driving record net total and improve your skills at accident prevention.

Services
We are unique in that we are a driving school, but do not give behind the wheel driving lessons. We specialize in classroom discussion and instruction. We offer both the 5 Hr. Prelicensing Class for people with permits and the 6 Hr. Point/Insurance Reduction - Defensive Driving Class for people with licenses.
We offer in-person classes, live online classes, and Improv Traffic School's Defensive Driving Class. This DMV-Approved Defensive Driving Course is an excellent way for experienced drivers to earn a discount on their automobile insurance, reduce points on their license, and improve their skills at accident prevention.
All my driving lessons are unique and customized for each individual's specific driving needs and ability level. Lessons are catered to each individual families needs including: parking in parking spaces, expressway driving, village/city driving, and teaching reviewing basic turning and backing up maneuvers.
For 5 Hour Prelicensing Classes there needs to be a MINIMUM OF 10 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE to run a full scheduled class. All classes will be offered at next available date posted. Payment Methods: When registering, we accept Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, CashApp, or check. If paying with a check, send a check payable to Suburban Driving School for $48.00 per student to the address below.

My daughter & I loved working with the owner and the instructors. They were very flexible with scheduling and went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule. They are very thorough and provide neat tricks and techniques to assist with parallel parking and the k-turn. My daughter nailed both skills after her first lesson. I would highly recommend this school to young drivers seeking to gain the skills and experience needed to successfully pass their road test.

After talking with Mike we had our son do his 5hr pre licensing course with suburban driving school. Mike made the class interesting and engaging. Mike also took the time to make sure everyone in the class understood the material he was presenting. We also had our son take a 1hr road lesson 2 weeks before his road test. John was a huge help making sure he knew what would be expected from the road test examiner.
I would highly recommend these road lessons to any new driver, or someone preparing for their road test. We have been so happy with the service and communication we have received that we are all going to take the defensive driving class next so we can take advantage of the insurance savings. I would recommend Suburban Driving to anyone seeking expert driving instruction. My son took driving lessons with Mike (owner/instructor) and also my whole family took the defensive driving course offered by him. He is professional, patient, and knowledgeable with everyone he instructs. Between winter driving, night driving, and road test preparation, Mike was accommodating and was able to provide expert lessons and advice for all driving situations. I will recommend Suburban driving to everyone I know.

After calling several other driving schools and being frustrated, we found Mike at Suburban Driving School, and we couldn't have been happier. He was very quick to call us back and was able to set up an appointment for our son right away. He was professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. Mike is an awesome teacher! He was very professional and patient. He helped my son step by step in parallel parking and K turns in the two areas he couldn't do. We did them over and over til he had it mastered. My son also took his 5 hour class with Mike. Between the two lessons and the class, my son passed the road test with flying colors. I would recommend Mike and suburban driving school to all new drivers and their families. The price we paid was super affordable and reasonable. Thank you mike!
