Do not waste your money or your time here at this auto school! they are nasty and unprofessional!

THIS IS A SCAM! I took the class And never received my certificate in the mail! They tried to charger me another 30$ to get it resent when I NEVER got the first one! DO NOT WHATSOEVER USE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL FOR ANYTHING IF THEIR WAS 0 stars they would get it!

New York Auto School is quite simply the best driving school you can go to. I cannot say enough good things about all of the instructors and staff that work at NYAS. Having been extremely anxious about learning to drive (especially for the first time as an adult), I booked a number of lessons and worked with a variety of instructors --Bruce, Mario, Diego, Joe, Bill, and Marvin.

Every single instructor was phenomenal. Each instructor was extraordinarily patient, informative, reassuring, and knowledgable. Each went out of his way to help me learn new skills, become comfortable with driving, and adapt each lesson to different road and traffic conditions. Each also worked patiently with me when I was initially extremely nervous and making mistakes.

Thanks to these instructors, I was able to (finally) conquer my fear of driving and truly feel safe and comfortable behind the wheel. In addition to excellent road instruction, the administrative team at NYAS are incredibly helpful and make scheduling easy and straightforward. The staff--including Wendy, Ana, and Amanda--helped with contingency planning where necessary, and helped me schedule extra lessons when I determined that I would want some more prior to the road test.

They too went out of their way to make taking lessons easy and stress-free and helped with cancellations/re-scheduling etc, whenever it came up. I am so grateful to NYAS! Thank you for helping me get a license.

Do not recommend them. I signed up for the 5 hour class, they get back to me the day of the class saying that I couldn't use my temporary permit (the paper one) to sign up for the class and that they needed a New York State ID. Fine, I got back to them right away with a picture of my permanent resident card. They accept it and then half an hour later contact me again saying the DMV won't let them accept a permanent resident card as proof of id.

I tell them I don't know how that's possible given that this was the document I used when I went to the dmv to get the permit in the first place. They won't budge so I ask for a refund - they tell me I have to send in an email to ask for that. Why? The mistake was on their part in not having accurate information on their website. Again, they offer no apologies and said they can't do anything about it. I email them asking for a refund and never hear back! They are disorganized and incompetent. Find somewhere else.

The company i worked for has used this auto school for driving classes and help with the driving test. Just recently, Joe did a wonderful job preparing our partner for the driving test. He had great insights and i highly recommend him!

Very professional. Mario is great. Knows his stuff and tells you all the little things that will make you pass or fail. If using this school, make a special request for Mario

Like everyone else said, Mario is the best. My daughter just passed her road test after a couple of false starts. We had taught her to drive on our own and she was really competent--but she didn't know the "road test" rules. Just the real world ones. Mario taught her everything she needed to know in a 1 hour lesson, and then a second lesson leading into the road test itself. He's got the Midas Touch! We will definitely return for our two younger kids early on in the process, so they learn the "road test way" first.

The driving instructor was very helpful and patient, especially Suzie she really help boost my confidence and was very helpful with my scheduling and making sure I felt ready for my road test. I strongly recommend this driving school for any1 and Every1

I just got my driver's license and I can't say enough good things about Mario. I was nervous on taking the test and he was able to give me instructions and tips on how to pass it. He was very patient and reassuring. I could not ask for a much better instructor. If you are thinking on getting lessons it should be with NYAS. Thank you!

The whole experience was great. The 5 hour course was interesting and my instructor Mario (in Westchester) was fantastic. I'm a experienced international driver but am confident that he is the only reason I passed. Highly recommend!

Great school. I went from 0 driving experience to successfully passing the road test on the first try. My instructors David and Mario were great during both the driving lessons and to prepare specifically for the road test. If you want the best chance to get your driver licence I recommend them strongly!

Damir was informative and very careful with the information he conveyed. He gave us great tips and demonstrated certain points that drivers must be careful with on the road and road test. I thought he was a bit humorous and that was good. By the way, he loves my signature! I get that allot (smiling). I will commence my practice in driving and if I could I would actually ask for him to teach me.

He seems very patient with students and sees the potential driver in all his students. He understands the mechanics that are in play and how each affect a new driver or an experienced driver. Driving test with Mario (westchester, White Plains), perfect short 1h prep, professional all along and affordable!

The class was really good, and the professor made it really fun. I think his name was Richard, a great instructor. The class lasted shorter than I thought (which is good) and I learned more than I was expecting. The instructor really prepares his students to pass the road test. I would totally recommend.

Mario was super professional, on time, and had great tips towards successfully passing the road test. He picked me up at the subway stop an hour before my appointment, we drove around and went over the important things to pay attention to during the test, and then waited in line until it was my turn. The whole process was very smooth. Go with NY Auto School, they're very good.

Hi I just went through this auto school and passed! Thank goodness! I had been trying to pass since last July but my nerves would get the best of me. Thanks to Mario I DID IT! I should note I did 16 hours with Mario and 4 hours with Grace both teachers were excellent! This is the school to go to if you are looking to get a quality driver's education. It is worth every single penny.

The conference room where the 5 he class took place is well-maintained. They supplied pens and paper for note-taking. The instructor, Mr. Taveras was very thorough and helpful-he gave us a lot of tips to help us pass the road test. He also gave us tips on how to drive safely. He was straight to the point and engaged the class. He was very patient in answering questions.

It would have been a 5 star review had it not been for the size of the conference room and the size of the whiteboard that he used to make the driving illustrations. We had 11 people in the class and we needed to add extra chairs just so the other people that came in later can have a seats for the class. It ended up being to tight for the small space. The A/C was on blast and I was not prepared and ended up feeling cold. The white board he used was so tiny he didn't have enough space to show the illustrations.

I'm not giving them a perfect score because of one detail that turned me off. That is not being able to pay their services online and having to call and give them your credit card details over the phone. Though, they give you another option such as going to their office and pay them cash, but it is kind of inconvenient for people who have too little time in their hands. Overall, everyone and everything were awesome. I'm not saying this because I passed my road test on my first try but because people comprising NY Auto School definitely made this process such a breeze.

A special shoutout to Susan, their front desk lady, for being so helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Also, a special mention to Norman and Diego, who were my driving instructors, for polishing my driving skills and for being patient with me. Contrary to some negative comments about NY Auto School, I can attest that they have an excellent service and I definitely had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them to everyone needing assistance in getting their NYS license. Thank you and keep up the good work NY Auto School.

Booked the twenty hour package and had two driving instructors. Mario is very informative on what the DMV road test will look for and he is very patient while teaching you to drive. Diego is very patient and has you start driving immediately. Avoid Norman, he is quick to yell.

New York Auto school's stated mission is to get you a driver's license and to make you a safe driver. The professionalism, patience and attentiveness of their employees, from the classroom to the road makes this goal an easy possibility. Every employee of the company treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy, while giving me the firm guidance I needed to be a successful driver in the test and beyond.

Especially high praise for the teacher Mario V, who went the extra mile in clearing up the bureaucratic snafu's associated with my license, and who's direction gave me the confidence to pass my driving test with flying colors. Highly recommend!

I called New York auto school 2 days before my road test. They accommodated my crazy schedule and confirmed me. I was assigned Mario. He was FANTASTIC. Positive Attitude, friendly, great instructor. With just 1 hour practice, i passed my road test my first time. YAAAYYYY. Helps greatly if you are assigned an instructor who KNOWS what they are doing. Seriously. Thank you Mario up buddy.

I had the absolute best experience possible here! First, it was super easy to schedule an appointment and (since I live in the city) I was picked up and dropped off at the train station which was very convenient for me. I only had one lesson with Alexandria who was by far the best driving instructor I've ever had and I passed the test that same day.

She not only gave me useful tips that without a doubt helped me pass my test, but she also made me feel so comfortable and confident going into the test. I could not rave enough about my experience here and I encourage anyone who is looking to get their license to go here! New York Auto School and Alexandra in particular made the process of getting my license extremely easy, stress-free and a lot of fun!

I had a pleasure to work with wonderful people running New York Auto school when I moved in NYC couple of months ago from Europe. I had a decent driving history, however NYC requires taking written test, 5 hours prelicensing class and road test from scratch. I found New York Auto school on the web and they made the whole procedure incredibly convenient for me.

The scheduled my road test, endured the vehicle and professional instructor Alexandra Lopez-Djurovic to take me trough the road test by giving me all most important tips. With only one hour driving experience in US I passed the road test without and problems. I strongly recommend to engage Aleksandra if you have similar situation. Except from making my road test easy for me, she also made my day with her wonderful personal and decent sense of humor.

New York auto school is a fantastic realtime driving school to go to if you want to enjoy driving as an experience whilst learning it. The instructor - David is the most enterprising, extremely patient yet strict person who adapts his teaching methodology according to the person he is teaching so that they benefit the most and become better drivers.

It is one thing to learn the nuances of driving, what makes him good is the way he makes u feel at ease to handle situations without intimidating you and always giving you soft challenges which actually shapes you as a good driver at the end. They also have a fantastic admin team who work so well in case of any cancellations for personal reasons or weather. For someone like me who used to hate driving it was a blessing to go to this auto school and learn from someone like David. Fantastic experience in all.

I took 5 hour pre licensing class and it was good. The instructor talked about how DMV assess the road test and what do they see from us. It was very useful for me. They also provide other pack services, which looks very reasonable.

TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I booked to attend the MV-278 Course 2 weeks in advance. I confirmed the booking on the day. Due to a subway delay I arrived 3 minutes late, that's 180 seconds and was met by an extremely rude and unpleasant woman who told me that the class was full. The class had not even started. Since I had a booking confirmation the only way that the class could have been full is if it was overbooked. Very unprofessional and not at all understanding. I will be using "Grand Prix Driving School" instead.
