Services
We've learned a lot in the past 25 years and passed that wisdom on to thousands of students. Washington State has hundreds of driving schools that offer traffic safety education and we've seen many come and go. Munros' Driving Instruction, Inc. is here to stay. We were established in 1990 by brothers Donald and Richard Munro.
We offer both Knowledge and Drive tests with competitive prices & sometimes, even same-day service. Whether you're a new or experienced driver, everyone could use a "brush-up" on proper driving skills and rules of the road. Prepare for your drive test or break your bad habits by having your skills evaluated by a professional.
All of our Teen TSE packages, for teens 18 and under, meet or exceed State of WA requirements. A minimum deposit of $275 is due at time of registration and the balance must be paid by first day of class. A finance charge will apply on all unpaid balances. Teens must be at least 15 by the first day of class to enroll into a course.
To get a Washington State driver license, applicants are required to pass a knowledge and driving test. Munros' Driving Instruction, Inc. is authorized to provide both the knowledge and driving tests. Scores for the knowledge and driving test will be reported to the Department of Licensing electronically within 24 hours; although we try our hardest to report them immediately so you can go to the DOL afterwards.

I can only assume my drive instructor was Betsy based off of other reviews relating to the behavior of my instructor. She was so incredibly rude and condescending going from not even able to small talk when taking my details off my id card to explaining something simple to me to scoffing at me and making faces at me while I'm trying to drive their extremely touchy car that they don't offer you to get to know at all before the drive test which i assumed was a given since they near force you to use their cars.
She gave me no time at all to prepare for a turn or lane merge by giving me maybe 5 seconds to swap lanes check mirrors blinkers and slow down nearly instructing me to rear end a suv advising i get into a left turn lane. Mocking me for not knowing hand signs which i assume were used for bikes only and not thinking it was the safest idea to sit in the middle of the road at a left turn only lane. Honestly just astonished that she has had such negative reviews over and over yet continues to work there with what seems no repercussions as well as the owner seeming to mock people who leave negative reviews as if they are untouchable since they can rake in money at no risk of their poorly acting employee. Id advise anyone who reads this looking to test here to go somewhere else you'll save yourself money and the frustration of possibly dealing with Betsy.

Don't spend money on this place for a test. I took my first test and didn't pass which I had no problem with, but the second test was very annoying. I was taking a turn and a guy was speeding down the hill while was merging and then I was deemed as "not a safe driver" which I assume was true. She requested to go back to the place while consistantly muttering under her breath, which for a word of advice shut up when your driver messed up and explain later, and didn't let me finish my last part of the test when I payed $75 on it. reading the reviews I can see people having the same obnoxious experience with tester's you guys act professional if you're going to work in a public space.

We used Munro's for our 15yo sons driving instruction. The instructor did a very great job carefully explaining things, and he was very respectful and patient in his teaching. He was quick to ensure our son got every thing done that he needed to. Munro's seems to have a great set up and very organized and great communications to make the process as easy as possible! I was a student at this driving school a few months ago and this was the best experience I could have had with a driving school, it was fun and safe, and the teachers and instructors were so kind and made it very fun and easy to learn how to drive. I had Karilynn for my classes online and she was so fun and relatable! Ms. Gonzales was my instructor for drives, she was very patient and helped me become a much better driver! I 100% recommend this school to anyone who is looking into going here:

Our daughter took Driver's Ed through Munros'Driving School during the CO-VID stay home order. They offered the classroom portion through Zoom. This worked out great for her. The teachers were super understanding if we had connection issues. We would send text letting them know if we had to restart the Wi-Fi or restart the computer. Luckily we had minimal connection problems. Stacie Dilulo was her instructor for the driving portion.
Once the governor allowed them to do their drives, scheduling was worked on to get the students their drive times. Our daughter enjoyed having Stacie as her instructor and was glad to have the same instructor for all five drives. We were grateful that she was able to drive to Oak Harbor every time for the drives. Our daughter came out of driver's ed more confident and equipped with more drive training added with her drive time with us. Thanks for working out a way to hold driver's ed for these eager teenagers during the social distancing order.

I took Munro's driving course, I was taught by two instructors, and they were both very good with communication and helping me with my questions. I enjoyed learning from both of them, as they both wanted to not only make it an educational experience, but also a fun time. I would recommend this school to others.
