I passed my driver's test with flying colors thanks to my teacher, Dorian! Dorian has a very relaxed and down to earth attitude. He immediately walked me through what to do as if we were at the testing site already. Each correction he made or tip he provided was spot-on. Literally, spot-on. I can't say enough amazing things about Dorian. If you can request him, please be sure too!

Very disorganized logistically, but passed my road test on first try Edit: This is a gross misrepresentation of the service you provided. I paid $650 for five lessons. My first lesson, the instructor was 30 minutes late without even a courtesy call, then spent the entire lesson on his phone. Next lesson, he just didn't show up, again without even a call (now that I think about it maybe you just told him the wrong lesson time again).

I originally left a bad review, which you spent weeks (extremely unprofessionally) begging me to remove. You rescheduled me with a far better instructor, Augusto. However, even after confirming with me twice, you still managed to send him to me on the wrong day for one lesson and then to the wrong pickup address for the other lesson - and the whole time he was asking me to change my review (which I did by the way).

You also tried to bill me for two extra hours of lessons that I never scheduled, again probably due to poor management of your scheduling system. And part of the reason I passed on my first try is due to the hours I spent outside of lessons practicing on my own. You are extremely disorganized and unprofessional - what kind of place of business responds to all of these bad reviews the way you do?

I passed my test and a huge part of that is thanks to my instructor Dorian, and how he taught me to stay calm, confident and do the right things behind the wheels. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is new to driving or is an anxious driver. He cares about your safety, what you are learning from him and goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you are here for.

I deducted 1 star since scheduling sometimes can be very difficult and frustrating, involves calling multiple times to get the right person/right information. But once you get pass that hurdle and get the right instuctor that is right for you, you are in good hands.

The instructors were great with all different styles. I had three of them, Augusto, Dorian, and Noel, due to the limit of time, before the exam. They were all great. Among them, Augusto was experienced and made me feel relaxed and confident, which was really helpful on the exam day. However, the interaction with the management was awful (so, removed one star).

I was very lucky to have Augusto as my instructor. He is a great teacher: very experienced, kind, and wise. His instructions and methods are clear and easy to remember. As other reviewers have mentioned, he is good at helping the student feel relaxed and confident. You can't pass the test without a certain degree of confidence, so that was very helpful. The driving school itself is great, too. The secretary is very competent and helped me schedule lessons efficiently.

Road test passed! Thanks to Grand Prix Driving School for delivering good services throughout my 10h lesson package. Also thanks to my main instructor Dorian who taught many tricks that I use in my everyday drive. He had the confidence to teach and make someone trust the driving experience in nyc. Will recommend to other people!

I had a really great experience with Grand Prixe. I had Dorian as my instructor, and he was very encouraging of a nervous driver and did a great job teaching me. After only 7.5 hours driving (total!) I passed my test on the first try. Highly recommend Dorian!

I took the online 5-hour course and completed a package of classes with my road test through Grand Prix. Grand Prix Driving is worth it if you connect with Dorrian as your instructor. As an adult and native New Yorker, I never got around to learning how to drive. Dorrian makes you feel comfortable and confident, learning all of the basics to pass the test as well as how to drive specifically to NYC.

The Grand Prix Driving School office is usually very busy. If it takes you a few times to get ahold of the main desk, just be patient. Always leave a message with your name/number and they will call back.

I really appreciated how they booked my road test for me and that the office always called to remind me of my lessons. My instructor was Noel --he will definitely push you but it is worth it! He is very knowledgable about the nuances of the road test and helped me gain the exact skills to pass (on my first try too). He truly cares about you as a student and cares about keeping you and other drivers safe. I am grateful for the lessons I got from him and for my overall experience with Grand Prix Driving School.

Just passed my road test today, after 5 attempts with a different driving school. My instructor, Perry is an excellent and experienced teacher. He taught me skills that I did not learn in the other school. What I love most about his teaching technique is that he is honest and blunt with you when you mess up, and at the same time friendly and makes you feel comfortable.

I am glad he was my Instructor. I wanna thank Nancy ( administration) who linked me with Perry; after looking at my old, almost tattered 5 hour certificate with 5 fails, she decided that Perry was the best to handle my dilemma. Thank you, Nancy! Thank you, Perry! Everyone, Grandprix is the go to driving school, and if possible ask for Perry to be instructor, you will not regret it. Oh, i forgot to mention about their cars; very clean and very well maintained.

They even bought a new car just to motivate me to pass, ok joking, but I took all my road lessons with the new car they just bought. Good luck to anyone working on their license

The person who answered my call was NOT interested in my business, but after being persistent she agreed to book me a spot even though she complained that they were super busy. That being said as you can see from my positive review I loved my driving instructor Augusto. He was 15 minutes early and gave me a call to let me know he had arrived. I asked if he wanted to get started early and we did so.

I was VERY nervous to be driving 16 years from getting my drivers license. I live in NYC so I have not had many reasons to practice driving. Augusto was very calm even with me being quite concerned. We practiced and I got more and more comfortable driving.

I had the pleasure of receiving instruction from both Vins and Augusto, two excellent driving instructors who took me through the road test. They were professional and personable. Augusto was able to polish my parallel parking to a fine diamond and it was perfect in the day. A great experience.

Just passed my test only a month or so after getting my permit. Grand prix made everything super easy and learning to drive in Manhattan is the way to go. If you can drive here you can drive anywhere. I had Augusto teaching me and he's a true gent. Always on time, thought me really well and super patient. Never once had me stressed and made sure I was comfortable and ready for the test, so ready that I passed it on the first go! Couldn't recommend them more and their COVID protocols are great.

I recently took the pre licensing course and a few hours of driving classes with the Grand Prix Driving School. Lisa, Jeff and Perry were great, highly knowledgeable and professional in everything they did: the registration, the teaching at the pre licensing course, the flexibility/availability when booking the driving classes, the actual instructions and driving pedagogy during the driving classes, etc.

I just took and passed my driving road test today (first try) and I highly recommend them/the Grand Prix Driving School as they were extremely helpful and professional with everything they did!

I had a tremendously pleasant experience with them. The team was on point, responsive and were able to schedule my licensing course as well as the test on short notice. My driving instructor, Perry, was highly knowledgeable and had really great tips to help me ace my test. He was very personable, jovial and really put me at ease. Even joked around that I should call him Guruji (means teacher in Hindi). Highly suggest getting the full package even if you're an experienced driver as the full service is worth it.

My son, age 16 took a package including lessons and driving test. He had a consistent instructor (Augusto). For each lesson, he was made to feel confident but also challenged. Augusto was such a kind instructor and patient and also, most importantly, his driving ability increased rapidly. The administrative staff were also very helpful as, at times, we had to reschedule lessons due to his being away at school.

On the final day of the test, my son unfortunately learned his grand-father had passed away. I took Gus aside and explained the situation. He somehow helped my son to make it to the test, focus and . . he passed! We are very grateful and hope my daughter soon can take the course as well.

Came here for the 5-hour certificate course, signed up for the 7.5-hour driving lesson package, and upgraded it to a 10-hour package when the date of my driving test was confirmed. I had minimal experience with driving a decade ago, so I was very nervous and stressed about learning and taking the exam. I didn't even remember which side was gas and which was the brake in my first lesson.

I'm happy to say that I PASSED THE TEST! Lisa at the front desk was so warm, friendly, and caring; she was such a joy to interact with. Scheduling lessons was easy, and they were flexible with date and times. They were also able to get me the testing site I requested in the date range that I wanted, which was great. Noel was the instructor for my 5-hour certificate course, and I chose him for my driving lessons.

He was very experienced and knowledgeable. He made sure I knew what to do, how to correct myself if I made an error (eg. when parallel parking), and how many point deductions to expect with each mistake I made. He prepared me very well. I was glad to be able to have a final 1.5-hour lesson right before the test. I strongly recommend Grand Prix!

Did everything I asked of them in a friendly, confident manner and on a short timescale. The classroom is perfectly comfy and the instructor does his best to get you through the necessary steps as quickly as possible whilst making sure you've understood the material. My instructor for the practical test, Augusto, was a great guy. He gave me a brief lesson before the test and instilled me with plenty of easy tips and confidence to make the test itself a breeze. He even took me for a mcdonalds on the way back to my office.

The people at the school were not organized, and often called me several times to ask me the same question.

HOWEVER, my driving instructor, Alberto, made up for that AND some. He was the best. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. He was incredibly thorough, and he was very attentive to my specific needs as a driving student. Above all else, he was sincerely encouraging, and really instilled in me the confidence to believe in myself and, ultimately, pass on my first test. He was a joy to work with, and I cannot thank him enough!

Recently completed a course with this school and had fantastic time. My instructor, Mr. Barcena, was both knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommend this school.

I highly recommend Grand Prix Driving School. I joyfully passed my test on Thursday, in Yonkers. I never would have passed if it the instructor, Mr. Barcena had not been so knowledgeable, kind and patient. Having a great sense of humor and knowing when to use it effectively comes from years of experience which Mr. Barcena has. I had my license for decades but I neglected to renew my license because I had not received the renewal form in the mail and my inability to use my brain and check the Year of expiration really altered my self confidence.

I felt like such a dunce. It seems funny now but I was so distraught and demented it physically hurt. I am so, so thankful to Mr. Barcena for getting me through this. Thank you and good luck taking the test.

William is literally the greatest human driving instructor that could ever potentially exist. Brilliant mind. He breaks things down. He is logical. He keeps things simple, while at the same time letting you know everything that you need to know in order to the pass the test. Amazing guy in general as well. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to learn how to drive. He will drill the fundamentals into your mind while putting a smile on your face.

Augusto was an great instructor and gave extremely good tips. Wouldn't have been able to pass my test without him!
