A-Adams School Of Driving For in car lessons, if the parent wants the student to wear a mask, then the teacher will also wear a mask. If not neither will. Our goal is still to keep everyone healthy and safe. To get started on your driver's license, you first need to enroll in the classroom portion of Drivers Ed. To sign up for a class, the student will need to be 15 years old by the time the class ENDS. After the first 2 days of class, students are allowed to go get their permit as long as they are 15 years old and then they can begin the Behind the Wheel portion.

Since 1946, throughout the Chicagoland area, A-Adams School of Driving has earned a reputation for responsible and caring driving instruction. We provide traffic safety and driver education to adults (from beginners to experts), teens (15-18 years old), and to individuals or corporations who want to learn accident avoidance techniques.
Adams All Inclusive programs provide the student with 30 hours of class. We offer weekday classes and Saturday/Sunday classes (weekend classes are only held during the school year). The Basic Course includes 6 hours of in-car driving & 6 hours of in-car observation, and 30 hours class time. The Advantage Plus Program includes 8 hours of all private lessons (no need to do any observation), and 30 hours class time. We guarantee to cover all phases of driving including expressway and all forms of parking.
Driving is a complex psycho-motor skill and can be challenging for a student with ADHD. So, to get more value from the classroom, if possible, the student can take their first driving lesson while still taking the class. The classroom information is still fresh in their minds which helps them relate it to what they are doing on their lesson.
Students 18-20 must have completed a 6 hour adult driver education course if they did not take driver ed in high school. We offer these classes at several of our locations and on-line. For driving, all adults will receive private driving instruction based on their own personal needs. Lessons are given in an Adams vehicle, which is dual-controlled and safety inspected weekly.
